LEADERSHIP IS A TRUSTED PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT.

Whenever you are given an opportunity to lead it's simply a privilege and not a right, whatever position you're holding there are people who can do more than you, you're selected just because they trust you and want to give you the privilege. I heard it from my mentor sometimes ago when he was admonishing the new executives of a particular group "that you're selected not because you're better than the rest but because they just want to give you the privilege". You're not better than your subjects is just a trust that they have for you that's making them to follow you, be ready to be accountable to them, don't abuse the respect and trust. Listen to your subjects when they have what to say, don't have the final say in everything and situation, grant them the privilege just as they grant it to you. I once heard from Myles Munroe that "never trust a person who can't be corrected by anyone. A good leader must have someone who they're accountable to and are willing to take their correction anytime anywhere". A leader that doesn't have someone that correct him/her isn't a leader. That is, he is never afraid of anyone and a leader without fear is a terrible one. Whenever you find yourself in any leadership position see it as a privilege and do all you can never to allow your subjects regretting the trust they had for you.

GREAT LEADERS SEE THEIR POSITION AS A PRIVILEGE AND NOT BECAUSE THEY DESERVE IT.
