EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP IS NOT ABOUT POWER, BUT, ABOUT EMPOWERING OTHERS

In my quest to know more about leadership, I have conducted many research by asking questions both from spiritual and circular leaders and most of the time their answers baffled me, because most of them will tell you, to be at the top of the people you are leading, you need to be so powerful, so that your subjects will fear and obey you, but on the contrary, the remaining few leaders will tell you that for you to be an effective leader you must learn how to empower your subjects.

Comparing these two ideas about leadership I discovered the latter is the best way to be an effective leader. It became so obvious to me that, you're never a leader until your successor succeed and how can your successor succeed if he is not properly empowered? We need to learn how to empower our subjects, don't be so powerful that your subjects will not dare you, give them access to learn good things from you, be simple with them, give them responsibility to help them develop, teach them things they need to know and when you look back later you'll be fulfilled.

It's not late yet, you can still change your mode of leadership and gradually our society will be filled with good leaders again, don't expect the society to just change, you should be an agent of change yourself.
