STARTING A RACE IS GOOD, BUT FINISHING IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT.
Sometime ago I heard a very fascinating story about Nero a former Roman emperor that rule from 13th October 54 to 9th June 68 AD. During his role as a Roman emperor he engaged himself in an Olympics games in Greece he started a race and was unable to finish it because he was tired and fell out of the race but as the almighty Roman emperor then, he forced the organizers to crown him and he was crowned.
In life we're always in a race, whether you're conscious of it or not we're racing, but the big question is are you racing towards the right direction? Or are you racing towards the finishing line? You see been in a race isn't all it is. A lot of us always want to be crowned the winner of the life race just because we started the race with others, just like Emperor Nero who just began a race with others and forced the organizers of the Olympics to crown him even when he fell along the line. You need to come to this reality that starting a race isn't what guarantee the winning, you start a race and be diligent towards it, never give up until you reach a finishing line.
If you manipulate your way to the finishing line (success) then you're not far from Emperor Nero, then there's no difference between you and him, you're simply forcing yourself to receive a crown you don't deserve.
In conclusion, start a race but don't see starting it as the end but reaching the finishing line, though life will not take it easy on you, never mind, still pres it on. The obstacles can't be compare to the joy of winning, the obstacles can't be compare to the excitement of achieving your heart desires. Those that take lead in life don't just start like every other person but endure till they reach the finish line.
